Possibly the most successful race car series of all time, the Bugatti Type 35s built from 1924-1929 won more than two thousand races and won the 1926 Gran Prix world championship with 351 victories.

The Type 35T had a 2.3-liter, 8-cylinder engine with 100 horsepower (75 kW) and was specially developed in 1926 to compete in the challenging Targa Florio race. Few were surprised when Bartolomeo Costantini drove one to victory in its first race.
